Subject: Oh yeah.

The forest keeps getting thicker. I haven't seen more than a single ray of light in days. My food rations have run out. The water that somehow manages to run this deep in the woods isn't actually water; I think it's just KoolAid. My clothes are tattered. I am tired. I've been living on the KoolAid for god knows how long. Maybe like 3 days, I'm not sure. The wild life in this mysterious forest is huge; the few deer I've seen have been able to feed off of the top of the canopy. For perspective, the canopy is about as tall as... I don't know, maybe the second tallest skyscraper if those still are a thing that never stopped existing.

Either way, this forest is denser than any forest I've ever seen. I don't even remember why I came down here. I am constantly overcome by this feeling of uncertainty about everything, it gets really hard to know what I want to do or what I don't want to do. Or even what I see or don't see. Luckily there are no dangerous animals this far in, only the aforementioned occasional Bigdeer (that is the name I gave them). While no animals have tried to sneak a nibble from my Flesh (and who could blame them if they did!), it is beginning to go bad. I don't know how much longer I can go without my Flesh.

I think, perhaps, the KoolAid is doing something to my mind. Oh god, what if its not even KoolAid. Hopefully not GamerJuice. Please god not that.

Subject: Deeper into the woods.

Somehow along the line, I wandered off from the gravel path. I'm not sure why I thought it would be a good idea to stray that far away. Its too late now though. I can't get back. I will have to try to space out my meals and snacks. And my water. Although I think if it really came down to it I could drink river water or morning dew. I hope I won't be out here for that to be the case though, haha, hmm...

My trek through the woods has been nice until I had to thwart off an angry, toothy mammal. The creature was going for my snackpack and succeeded. From now on, I'll have to be extra careful with my food reserves. I can only hope that will have been the first, and last, hungry beast after my food. And I'm praying that there aren't any after my deer, sweet, precious Flesh. Oh, I don't know what would happen if anything got to my Flesh but me. I don't even want to think of it.

Anrgy wildlife and draining resources notwithstanding, I think I'm doing fine. The water isn't, though. The water looks kind of...pink.

Subject: Paths.

My forest guide and group have vanished. My best guesses are that it happened over night when we were camping out. Without the guide, I don't know which way we came in by and which way we were going. The forest is quite dense, after all. There is only one path so I don't expect to get lost that easily. How ironic would it be if I did? Pretty fucking ironic. Besides, even if I did get lost, I still have plenty of food I gathered with from others. Also plenty of water. I read enough guides on the Internet to know how to survive in the wilderness too. And if I do manage to find the secret of this forest and make it out alive, I won't ever be forgotten.

Sometimes I find nice rocks on the path and I put them in my sack for safekeeping.

Subject: The beginning of something really excellent.

I have been planning this exploration for years now. I have studdied the environment surrounding this strange forest for equally as long. Finally, with the help of my colleagues and forest guide, I can finally study what it really is. Legend says that the forest only gets deeper, it only gets denser and it only gets darker. You get the point, it's dark and foreboding. Why am I so interested in this mysterious place? Legend also says that those who overcome its trials of despair are granted a boon. I don't know what kind of boon. Don't ask.

I know you might be thinking: "Why do you need a guide if you've been studying this places for so long?" Unfortunately, I was not gifted with good navigational skills. I couldn't read a compass to save my life, in fact. And being able to read a compass probably would save my life if it came to it.

Like every other forbidden forest, they tend to mess with your psyche. That it why I have an entourage of other reaserchers with me. Also because they are my close good friends and we have been working towards a common goal for, you guessed it, years. I have total faith that they will not kill me in my sleep during one of the many nights to come in the woods. And they in I.

Yesterday, I packed my bags with everything I would need for my adventure. Sleeping bag, tent, gourd (plant or water bottle? you decide), rain jacket, plenty of containers, et cetera. I took a private jet straight to Latvia, my destination. My crew was arrived shortly after, all packed up and ready to go. We planned out what we should do in the woods before entering.

The forest, at first glance, is not different from any other deciduous forest. Once you've been in there for long enough, you start to notice things. For starters, the path we were following was being formed in real time. Pebbles were being deposited right before our eyes. We asked each other if it was really a good idea to be following a magic path leading to who knows where, but our woodland guide said everything would be fine. To be honest, I don't know if I should have entrusted him with our lives. That doesn't matter now. What's important is that we have a good time.
